This is what Mara does with your data, what you own, and what Mara cannot help you with.
Accounts
Building a Playbook requires an account. You can sign in with Google or with an email and password. Nothing about a Playbook is public — everything you create is scoped to your account.
What we keep and for how long
Approved context. The facts you approve during the interview live in your account so you can review, edit, and regenerate Playbooks from them later. You can delete individual facts at any time.
Your Playbooks. Generated Playbooks — files, copy-ready blocks, starter prompts — stay in your account so you can download them again or duplicate them.
Raw interview. The back-and-forth conversation used to produce a Playbook is deleted within 24 hours after your Playbook is compiled. Only the facts you approved remain.
AI processing
Mara sends messages to an AI provider so the interviewer, compiler, and evaluator can do their work. Only the content needed for the current step is sent, and provider processing is used to generate a response and then discarded per the provider's terms. We do not sell any content to anyone.
What you own
The Playbook Mara generates is yours. The files are plain markdown and text — copy them, edit them, paste them into any AI you use. You can export the same bundle again at any time from your account.
Deleting your data
You can delete a Playbook from your account at any time. You can also delete your entire account, which removes your approved context, your generated Playbooks, and your enrolments in future-feature early access.
What Mara does not do
Mara helps you organise context and generate instructions. It does not replace a clinician, a financial adviser, a lawyer, or a person who cares about you. In particular:
- Health Playbooks support habits and questions for a professional. They never diagnose and never adjust medication.
- Money Playbooks help organise trade-offs and questions for a qualified adviser. They never recommend specific investments and never promise outcomes.
- Sounding-board Playbooks help you think, not replace human support. If something is a crisis, please reach a person or a local crisis line.
No warranty
Mara is provided as-is, without warranty. Use good judgment about what to share, and about what to act on. You are responsible for anything you decide or send.
